Bling Bling Baby!

Today I got my first glimpse of life in Beverly Hills. Katie and I went to the Museum of Television and Radio which is just a stone's throw away from Rodeo Drive. We got there a bit early, and sat out front watching all the people. Well, Katie watched the people, I almost broke my neck watching the cars. I saw just about everything you can imagine. Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Astin Martin Vantages, all types of Ferraris and more Corvette Z06s than you can shake a stick at. Only the poor people and house staff drive Cadillacs and Lexuses around these parts. Also, interestingly enough, the reason the rest of the country is in a waiting list for a Toyota Prius is probably because they are all right here in California. And this is true for the whole city, not just the ritzy part. I would put a conservative estimate at about 1 in 20 cars is a Prius, they almost outnumber almost actors.

The museum itself was rather interesting, although limited in scope, I felt. The main attraction was a room where you could look up almost any TV show you wanted and then watch it. We watched the pilot for "Fraggle Rock" and the first episode of "Bewitched." After, we went to a deli, where a grilled cheese could be had for $9. We skipped lunch and headed back to our hotel for turkey sandwiches.
