Countdown To Christmas!

So Christmas is only like 3 days away, by my calculations, and I think its just about time I get started with my gift shopping. See, I have a very simple solution to picking gifts for people: wait for the last possible minute, and then just go sort through all the stuff that is left over. It narrows my choices by about 90% making it that much easier. This is a bad idea when I happen to have something in mind for a particular person, which was the case with my sister's gift. I won't tell what it is since she might read this, but I will say that next year she'll be getting a pound of weapon grade plutonium, because I am sure that will be easier to come by. But I did manage to find one, thereby saving Christmas and pretty much guaranteeing myself a place of mention in her blog. I should probably put a link to her blog, in case you all want to know what life is like in medical school in Nashville, but I don't have the link handy and am too lazy to go look for it. Anyway I am a good 94% done with my Christmas shopping, and I hope you are too, unless of course you are Jewish.

Its nice to have my sister home for the holidays, for a variety of reasons. First, it is nice that my cat have someone else to wake up in the middle of the night when he wants to confirm that we are still alive, but more because I have someone I can pick on pretty much constantly. Its always good to keep your skills nice and sharp, and Nicole is an excellent if often unwilling scratching post. I'm excited for my friends from out of town to come back, mostly because it will inevitably mean a trip to Arigatos. For some reason our collective friendship is centralized around Japanese hibachi-style dining. I'm looking forward to my helping of the Karate Chop, although this time I think I'll forego the extra rice and add extra veggies. Combine that with some Goodie Goodie and Yummy Yummy sauce, and its a one way ticket to Flavor Country!

For now, I must go get some rest because I plan on spending tomorrow engaging in some last minute capitalism. Remember kids: now is the season if giving, and I am not legally prohibited from receiving cash gifts.
