Just A Thought

So today, being what it is, made me think about how poorly things are being run in this country, particularly in the field of disaster management. I just read that something like 5 of the 8 top FEMA officials got their jobs with no previous disaster management whatsoever. Really makes me worry about living in earthquake country when these knuckleheads can't decide what to do about a storm that you can see coming from 3 days away. I suppose my own personal disaster plan will be to pack everything up in the car, find a road out that works, and keep on truckin' until the ground stops moving!
